Cheers to 15 years!

I've been working with Capitol Shakespeare for 15 years!

There are many things I love about this ongoing partnership, but here are a few highlights:

• Capitol Shakespeare puts on a few plays each year and each production has its own director. This keeps it interesting as no two directors are the same to collaborate with and every show features a distinctly different style and tone.

• Although each director is different, all of them respect my creative expertise. This means that together we can push the boundaries of what's possible/expected. For example, for this project I created a poster designed to be cut down to 5.5x17" which resulted in a unique, eye catching dimension in comparison to the standard 11x17" poster size.

• They value my ability to create unique illustrations for each show. Illustrations have a time and a place in design projects and certainly not every project requires or benefits from a drawing. But Capitol Shakespeare requests that I bust out the pencil for their promotional materials and I really do enjoy the opportunity to integrate illustration into the process.
